What Is SmashFund?
SmashFund is free fundraising platform for individuals, causes, charities, business owners, and nonprofits. Smash Fund is powered and fueled by individuals all around the world and is the first to introduce Referral Rewards. The fundraising system is free to join and use for everyone. Let’s face it, the crowdfunding space is loaded with competition including more than 1,200 platforms currently online.
How Are They Different?
I have been following the rise of companies like Go Fund It, Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Fundable, and others. These unique business models allow users to source funds for their business or other ventures through large quantities of small donations from people all around the world. For example, let’s imagine someone comes up with a unique design or invention. They could start a campaign and seek funds from people who would like to see their project come to market. If the project receives enough funding, it’s up to the person to use the money wisely and actually produce the project. In some cases, people who donate money to the cause will receive a small gift like a T-shirt or other trinket. The downside of this model is the majority of projects never get the funding they need to get off the ground. Plus, the fee structure can be cost prohibitive for users with limited funds. For example, most models utilize a fee-based structure or even set time limits and increase costs if users don’t hit their goal.
SmashFund is unique in the fundraising space for variety of reasons. First, they have induced an industry-first Referral Rewards system that puts money right back into the pocket of the users. The system is 100% free to join and fundraise with, but if you want to benefit from the Referral Rewards you can sign up for their premium membership. You may be asking yourself, why would Smash Fund give away profits to the premium members? Similar to sites like Groupon, Uber, and eBates that have subscription based systems, Smash Fund intends to grow and build their user base through a similar business model.
How Does The Money Flow to Members?
From what we’ve learned, the Referral Rewards program is fairly simple how it pays out to it’s members. First, it’s absolutely free to sign up and begin fundraising today, without paying any member dues. This means you can finally fundraise on a platform where the company doesn’t take a percentage fee. Plus, the fundraising community based around SmashFund means that there could potential be people already interested in backing your project. Now, if your interested in finding a way to make money using SmashFund then read on. The company has just announced that they will be rewarding Premium Members for telling friends about the crowdfunding platform. First, the referral rewards program puts cash back into your project or your pocket. At this point they don’t require goals, time limits, or any of the other “hidden” fees some of the competitors charge. If you do pay for a premium member you also unlock many other fundraising tools, tips, and analytics which can be beneficial. Premium Members pay a monthly fee of $149 per month. This member fee gives you access to profit from the program by paying you $1 per month for every SmashFund signup. If you sign up someone as a Premium Membership then you will be rewarded with $5 per month for the life of the premium member. So basically, as long as this person pays their member dues you will receive $5 every month. As you can probably already tell, spreading the word about SmashFund could make you some serious cash. Plus, the company has implemented a state of the art custom dashboard with reporting, payment, and tracking systems so you can sit back and collect your payments. Each premium member will have a unique referral link plus access to digital assets to make promoting the platform easier.
Getting in early has it’s benefits as the competition is obviously lower. What you can earn is up to you. You will get paid by your efforts, but it could get harder as time goes on. It sounds to me like a bonus that you can make some side money, but I wouldn’t go into it thinking that you will retire in a month. The profit potential is essentially there though. To sum it up, the potential is up to you, but honestly there is no ceiling that I see.
